The following registration procedure is applicable to those foreign students who desire to go to a Chinese kindergarten or a primary or secondary school authorized by Zhejiang Provincial Education Department with a qualification to enroll foreign students in Hangzhou:
1. To apply to a kindergarten, or a primary or secondary school, the applicant should go through a procedure in the local bureau of education of the district or county (or city) where his/her residence is. The section of education in charge of the application will arrange a suitable kindergarten or school for the applying student on the basis of the parents’ requests and the student’ real situation.
2. The application procedure takes place in the Division of Senior High Schools of Hangzhou Education Bureau if to apply to a senior high school. The Division will arrange a suitable school for the applying student on the basis of the parents’ requests and the student’s real situation.
3. The following documents must be submitted in the procedure:
 Certification of the student’s parent(s)’ investment or employment in Hangzhou;
 Residence permits of the parent(s) and the applying student;
 A certification of the custodian in Hangzhou notarized by Notary Public Office, if the custodee’s parents are not here
 Certifications of graduations
 Certifications of physical checks by hospitals of Hanzhou municipal level or above
4． During the registration procedure an Enrollment Registration Form for Foreign Students in Hangzhou must be completed and approved by the supervising education bureau of the school before an admission takes place.
